Yes, you’ve read the title well. Corgi International is a well known company that decided to go step further in the business of manufacturing toys, gizmos and gadgets. And with this step they definitely made their company something special.

The RC car, known as the HF Mach 3.0 is the first toy to be produced as a result of a strategic partnership between Corgi International and Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies. Of course, Corgi needed help to make this happen and they chose global leader in developing innovative fuel cell technologies. Hydrogen powered RC car is a breakthrough in a toy industry, according to the experts, but I would say it is more then that.

HF Mach 3.0

Besides being powered by hydrogen fuel and thus being environmentally friendly, HF Mach 3.0 is made using lightweight wheat-based plastics and boasts fully recyclable packaging. Can you say perfectionism?

One thing that could prevent parents from buying this hydrogen powered RC car is the unlimited source of energy. Will their children ever be able to stop playing with it and drive their parents loco? Maybe there will be some solution for this later, but for now, HF Mach 3.0 doesn’t have any power limits. The on-board hydrogen fuel cell uses sun and water to supply itself with renewable, clean energy for a never ending play time.

All you need to do to power this RC car is to use a regular water and the car’s refueling station will split water by electrolysis into oxygen and hydrogen. The hydrogen is then captured for use as fuel for the car. Simple, effective and clean.

HF Mach 3.0 comes with a solar panel, refueling station, the car itself and a remote control. The final cost will be somewhere around $300.
