Epoxy Paint And Your Garage

Can you imagine parking your car on a auto showroom floor every day? I can, but I don’t have to. I just got my garage floor beautified with epoxy paint and it looks smoooooth as a baby’s bottom. And it shines like one too. Now I get to see something beautiful every time I step into my garage, and it’s all because of some epoxy paint and a good coating job I did.

To tell you the truth, it wasn’t that easy to make this all happen. Sure, this is now long lasting coating
and it will resist all the substances I can get into my garage and drop them on the floor. And I can clean everything off of it. But, it was hard to find the right combination, since not all concrete floors in this world will hold the coating. Besides, there is a lot of know-how when it comes to preparing concrete for an epoxy painting job. Well, flooring is never easy right?

You will need a lot of things to do with the garage floor. First, you need to put a plastic bag to the floor and wait for one day to see is there any moisture. It probably will be and this means more work for you. You should clear everything before you start with the epoxy coating. The moisture must disappear, you have to clean all oil stains, scrub it, vacuum it and rinse it a few times. When you are finished with that, then you have some cracks to fill in. That’s the time for the first epoxy coat and after 24 hours more, you will need to add another layer of epoxy paint.

These aren’t the details I’m giving you here, because that would take a while to write. You won’t get it from me, so you better visit another site and see the detailed instruction on how to do the coating. Also, you may want to find out more about epoxy garage paint and what kind of epoxy floors can you do. Unless you aren’t the DIY type, I suggest you stay away from this. It doesn’t allow a lot of errors and one little mistake in preparations of your floor can make a big difference when you put the layer of epoxy on your garage floor. I’m not being pesimistic, I just want you to know what you are getting in.

If you still wanna so this wonderful thing, then I wish you luck. Splashing some epoxy paint on garage floor is the best thing I did to that piece of real estate.
