Don’t mince any words; let the message be crystal-clear. For, you’ll be talking to an informed team that needs to work effectively for your organization. This very team will be fervent to achieve the goals that are set before them. It’s the responsibility of a good leader and also expected of him to be talented to paint an accurate picture to them without twisting any facts and without any vagueness.
As a team leader, you can paint a very accurate picture of any part of your business to your team in one of the following ways. You may be surprised at how such a measure can help your team to go forth and accomplish the goals set for them.
1. Fashion a positive picture for your team. It should always project some promise, some incentive for the team if they achieve the defined goals. The results should be tangible. You need to inform them how the goals will profit the organization and what individual profits they are likely to have in the process. There is potential to be creative here; let the leaders seize what they feel is the best for the organization.
2. Another thing you can do while trying to paint the picture for the group is to remain open to suggestions. Don’t close the doors of communication. Have an open mind and be friendly to new ideas. Soon, you will notice that members of your team start coming with new helpful suggestions. Those will be their individual opinions, which come thru their innovative mind. Listen to those ideas and you might get a groundbreaking idea
3. One more thing you could do for painting a true picture to your workforce is to sum up everything by way of three points. When you make it palatable like that the employees appreciate that you are for real and they stand by you. Tactfully, you have to explain those points without intimidating them by the absolute idea of having to put in efforts for the success of the team.
